An act of kindness is a gift that each of us can give. It can not only make a difference to someone who needs it, but it can ripple much further than we can see. That’s why, back in 2005, a group of eight- and nine-year-old students in Coquitlam started a week-long kindness campaign to encourage people to do something nice for others without expecting anything in return. It’s now known as Real Acts of Caring Week. I was glad to bring their message to the legislature.
