As the legislature wraps up tomorrow, I’m excited by what we’ve managed to do. We made 122 campaign promises last year – and 75% are complete or underway.
With our housing and childcare plans, we’re working to make life more affordable for families. We’re taking steps to improve access to primary healthcare. We set ourselves ambitious goals and we’re making solid progress towards them.
The progress and potential of BC’s tech sector is also exciting. We are seeing new investment in tech across the province and record numbers attended this month’s BC Tech Summit. There they heard Premier Horgan announce new funding for tech training to help British Columbians to train for these good, sustainable jobs. And to retain the talent the sector needs to grow.
We’re achieving all this together. That’s why, I need to hear your thoughts on the progress we’ve made and your ideas for making life here better.
This Saturday, I’m hosting a community meeting on Eagle Ridge Hospital. It will be the first of many meetings in our new community office on St. Johns Street in Port Moody. It’s easy to get to and a great space for our community to get together for discussions like these.
Hope to see you soon.
Thanks, Rick
