Community Newsletter: It’s not prosperity, unless it’s shared

Budgets are about choices. And I’m excited by those our government is making in Budget 2018. With this budget, we carve a new path.

To improve services, our government is beginning to implement our made-in-BC child care plan (more on this below).

To make life more affordable, we’re tackling housing affordability with comprehensive actions to help British Columbians as home owners and renters.

To support a strong economy right across the province, our government is making record capital investments. We’re expanding health facilities across the province. We’re funding more seismic replacements of schools to keep our chidren safe. We are investing in post-secondary education, in innovation for the tech sector and the creative industries.

It’s not prosperity, unless its shared. It’s about making government work for you. Learn more about the 2018 Budget

I’ll be doing a weekly series of videos about how this budget, and our government, is working for you. The first video – on our new child care initiatives – is below.

Follow me on Facebook and tune in later today for my next instalment.

Thanks, Rick
