Community Newsletter: Listening to how you’d make life better here

Posted in:

Throughout the summer, we’re holding province-wide consultations. There are pressing issues. Affordable rental housing and a better environment for small businesses are all areas where your ideas can help.

And we’re meeting with people in our local communities. At the beginning of June, I held a Community Meeting to discuss the future of Eagle Ridge Hospital.

The meeting was well-attended. People came with their concerns about services keeping pace with development. They brought their ideas of how to improve services with better urgent and seniors care. It was constructive, and all those who came out or contacted me with their ideas have my thanks.

The meeting was the first in our new office on St Johns Street. And I look forward hosting many more meetings like this in our new space.

Come by the office and have a look around. I’m thrilled we’re a stop on this year’s Port Moody Art Walk on the evening of Friday, June 22. And we’ll also be holding an Open House to celebrate our new Community Office on June 30 during Golden Spike Days.

Drop on by! I look forward to meeting with you,

Rick
