COQUITLAM – New Democrat MLAs Selina Robinson and Rick Glumac are welcoming new child care funding for the Kinsight Community Society, as part of the B.C. government’s Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) agreement with the Government of Canada.

“Families with children who need extra support have struggled for too long to find adequate care,” said MLA for Coquitlam-Maillardville Selina Robinson. “This new funding will allow more children to enroll in child care programs that will help them reach their fullest potential.”

“Inclusive care is one piece of our commitment to creating affordable, quality child care for families in B.C.” added MLA for Port Moody-Coquitlam Rick Glumac. “Parents want the best for their kids, and this funding will help make that a reality for many in the community.”

The Kinsight Community Society is one of 83 organizations across the province that will be sharing $30 million in funding over the next three years to expand and enhance their Supported Child Development and Aboriginal Supported Child Development programming for families with children with extra support needs.
